Hi! I’m Scott Gieser, founder of Geezer Fishing Company — and yes, I’m the real “Geezer.” (My last name is pronounced just like it’s spelled.)

We’re a family-owned and operated business based in Granbury, Texas. My wife, Summer, my son, Shane, and I handle everything ourselves. From design to production to packaging — this is truly a small, hands-on operation.

The name? It just came to us.

We had everything ready to go — the factory, molds, painters, designs, and big ideas. The only thing missing was the name. One day, while my son was browsing a major fishing retailer and I was studying what would soon become our competition, I kept noticing how many brands tried a little too hard to be clever.

Then it hit me: Geezer Fishing Co.

Geezer Fishing Co. is a legitimate, high-end lure company built on professional design and purpose-driven craftsmanship. Every decision, every detail, and every bait is focused on helping anglers land their next fish — and hopefully their personal best.

The fun came naturally. I had a list of lure names and shared them with Shane (he was 15 at the time). His eyes lit up, and he jumped in headfirst. That’s how names like Dagnabit and Skedaddle were born — followed by Catawampus, Cranky, Codger, and soon-to-be-released Pops, with plenty more on the way.

We take our fishing seriously — but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

From the lures to the colors to the apparel, we built this brand to reflect who we are: hardworking, detail-focused, and here for a good time and a long time.
